Bullseye Biodevices Announces $1.3 Million Strategic Investment from ABKO to Advance Surgical Biosensing Technology
Strategic investment brings together Bullseye's biosensing technology with ABKO's engineering and manufacturing capabilities to accelerate product development and global commercialization.
HOBOKEN, New Jersey — Bullseye Biodevices, Inc., a medical technology startup developing intelligent biosensing solutions for healthcare, today announced a $1.3 million strategic investment from ABKO Co., Ltd., a South Korea-based technology company.
The investment marks an important milestone in Bullseye's transition from technology development toward product optimization, manufacturing readiness, and commercialization. Through the strategic relationship, Bullseye and ABKO plan to combine Bullseye's expertise in biomedical sensing and minimally invasive technologies with ABKO's capabilities in product engineering, manufacturing, and commercialization.
Bullseye is developing a novel biosensing platform designed to provide physicians with quantitative information about tissue properties during minimally invasive procedures. The technology is intended to support more informed intraoperative decision-making while remaining compatible with the increasingly robotic and minimally invasive nature of modern surgery.
Since its founding in 2024, Bullseye has advanced its technology through prototype development, tissue testing, intellectual property development, and customer discovery with clinicians and industry stakeholders. The company has also received support through the National Science Foundation's Small Business Technology Transfer (NSF STTR Phase I) program as it continues to translate its technology toward clinical application.

The investment will support Bullseye's next phase of development, including further refinement of its sensing hardware, product and manufacturing optimization, development of AI-enabled diagnostic capabilities, preclinical validation, and preparation for future regulatory activities.
The companies also intend to explore opportunities for collaboration in the United States, South Korea, and other global markets, with the long-term objective of expanding the application of intelligent biosensing technologies in minimally invasive and robotic surgery.
